G마켓 2008년 2Q 실적 발표

소비심리 위축에도 불구하고 G마켓이 2분기 양호한 성장세를 이어갔다.

G마켓은 30일 2분기 총 매출액이 전년 동기 대비 26% 증가해 700억원을 기록했다고 밝혔다. 영업이익은 76억원에서 74% 늘어난 132억원을 기록했다. 순이익도 전년 동기 84억원에서 91% 증가한 161억원을 거뒀다.

희석주당 순이익 역시 전년 동기 167원에서 317원으로 눈에 띄게 상승했다.

또 총 거래액(GMV, Gross Merchandise Value)은 전년 동기보다 25% 증가한 9711억원을 기록했다. 총 거래액이란 G마켓 웹사이트에서 체결된 총 거래 금액을 의미한다.

거래 수수료 매출은 전년 동기보다 16% 증가해 374억원을 기록했다. 특히 광고 및 기타 비거래 수수료 매출이 39% 늘어 326억원을 기록했다.

구영배 G마켓 대표는 "2분기 성과와 발전에 만족하며 식품과 생활용품을 포함한 성장 카테고리와 신규 카테고리에 집중, 성장세를 가속화할 것"이라며 "향상된 영업 효율성과 광고 수익 확대를 통해 지속적으로 수익이 증가하고 있다"고 덧붙였다.

한편, G마켓의 2분기 총 회원 수는 1분기 1426만명에서 1474만명으로 증가했으며 월 평균 고유 방문자수는 전년 동기 1758만명에서 1865만명으로 증가했다.

식품은 진짜 오픔마켓의 새로운 성장동력으로 자리 잡을 수 있을까?
여러가지 더 테스트를 해바야겠지만...2005년 말 처음 시작 했을 때 까지만 해도 까마득 했다.
근데 어느새 더 높은 목표를 세우고 달리고 있다. 내년 이맘 때쯤은 어떨까?
